Double L Construction is loaded with very talented construction personnel with over 200 combined years in the construction field.   Double L Construction has assembled an experienced and dedicated team from the planning stage to the turn key stage.  We can help you with decorating, designing, engineering, architectural and complete construction of your project.  Our management team was born and raised in the Boise and Emmett valleys.

Our expertise is in all phases of construction from the smallest remodel or repair in residential and commercial.  We construct new commercial buildings as well as Tenant Improvements.   

We are proud members of the Better Business Bureau and NARI (National Association of Remodeler Industry).   We were selected as the “Remodeler of the Year 2006” for the Idaho Chapter of NARI of which our team is very proud.

BIOGRAPHIES

LARRY D. GRAVES

Attended two years of college at Colorado State University, CO and Trenton State University, NJ. Served seven years active duty as an officer in the US Army. Has fifty-five years of extensive experience in all phases of the construction field. His construction experience includes supervisory positions in construction of office buildings, sewage plants, dams and concrete tilt-up buildings.  Also, construction experience in all phases of building projects from planning and design to the completion of buildings, building roads and developing subdivisions. Supervised the construction of interstate bridges and liquid oxygen missile plants, as well as schools, and tract and custom homes. 

President/Co-Owner of Larry D. Graves and Sons, Inc. from 1974 to 1997 responsibe for management, supervision, and leadership.   Larry D. Graves and Sons constructed projects at Micron Technology, Inc. (for 9 years), Cole Village Shopping Center, Boise City Hall Plaza and many others. Complete construction of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

LLOYD O. COX

Lloyd Cox is President and co-owner of Double L Construction. For the last six years, he has both worked on jobs in the field and managed a portfolio of projects. Projects have ranged from smaller residential remodels to large commercial projects. Strengths include strong communication skills with the client and the ability to deliver a project on budget and on time, yet with a real focus on detail and quality.

Prior experience includes 24 years with Ore-Ida Foods (H.J. Heinz Company) in various management capacities in engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing. The last 14 years he served as General Manager of Operations and was responsible for up to 5 factories and over 3,000 employees. Earlier in his career, he worked as an engineer or project manager for Bechtel Corporation and Standard Oil of California. His experience also includes four years with the State of Oregon DEQ working with Oregon industries reviewing and approving environmental control project plans and following up on implementation. He earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Oregon State University.
